Subjunctive
The subjunctive does not have an equivalent in English and you do not need as much of a knowledge of it as you do the other tenses. However, if you are to put a subjunctive in your written section and possibly in your oral it will really impress the examiner. It can often be identified by the word 'que' before it.

You use the subjunctive after the following phrases (there are many more but I found these the most useful):
- Bien que...
- Il faut que...
- Il est important que...
- Il est plus que temps que...
- Pour que
- Je suis vraiment choqué que
- Je n'accepte pas que
- Il est impensable que
- Il est grand temps que
- Je suis d'accord pour que
- Ce qui m'exaspére c'est que
- Il semble que
- Il se peut que
